It’s hard to believe that it’s almost time for New York Comic Con, the second convention in the United States where Marvel Television takes the stage and give fans exclusive news and content. Last year, fans got a full episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as the first sight of The Defenders all on stage together, among many other treats. With New York as the home for so many of our heroes, it is a fitting compliment to the slightly larger con in San Diego, for Marvel news.
Today, the full schedule for New York Comic Con 2018 was released, and it appears that fans will have three opportunities to see Jeph Loeb take the stage for Marvel Television. It doesn’t appear that he’ll be wearing Medusa’s wig, this time around, as the three shows that will be featured are Runaways, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and The Punisher.
Fans have seen very little of Runaways so far, but with a November 21 premiere date, Marvel will be ready to get the hype train rolling during their panel on Friday, October 6, on the main stage. The hour-and-a-half panel starts at 7:45 PM. With that length of time, fans are almost sure to get the first full episode of the series, which is already getting high praise.
Marvel’s Runaways makes a fresh landing in New York as Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television, joins the stellar cast and executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage to let you in on some of the secrets and mysteries of the highly-anticipated, new Hulu Original Series, Marvel’s Runaways. You won’t want to miss this fun-filled panel featuring exclusive footage. And be sure to catch Season One of Marvel’s Runaways when it premieres on Hulu, Tuesday, November 21, 2017.
On Saturday, Marvel Television will move to Madison Square Garden for both Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and The Punisher. The afternoon will get started with S.H.I.E.L.D., an appearance that was promised when the show missed San Diego Comic-Con for the first time this past summer. While a couple of cast members were on stage in New York last year, this year the full cast is promised to attend.
Join Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television, in celebrating Season Five of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., with the entire cast and executive producers as they come together at Madison Square Garden, for the very first time, with an action-packed panel, Q&A and never-before-seen footage. This is the one you’ve been waiting for!
As for what fans have been waiting for, the possibilities for what Loeb and team will be bringing to the big stage are endless. Other than some accidental sights from behind the scenes, much of what is planned for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is still a mystery. The Madison Square Garden site isn’t cleared between panels, so Marvel fans should plan to arrive early. After they have seen what’s coming up on ABC, they should definitely stay for The Punisher.
Join Jon Bernthal and the cast of Netflix’s hotly-anticipated original series, Marvel’s The Punisher, for a must-see panel and exclusive first look at the upcoming season, launching globally on the streaming service later this year. From executive producer and showrunner Steve Lightfoot, and executive producers Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory, Marvel’s The Punisher follows Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), a man who, after exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Jeph will moderate the can’t-miss Q&A. Visit the NYCC online program for more details.
With only an hour on the schedule, it doesn’t seem likely that fans will get to see the whole first episode of The Punisher, but maybe, by then, we will know the premiere date, and fans will surely get some awesome clips from the series. As connected as all of the Netflix series are, don’t be surprised if any of The Defenders show up on stage, and expect news from any of the upcoming Marvel Netflix series.
With this schedule, how excited are you for all the news that is sure to come in about a month, when lucky fans in New York City get to be in the room with Jeph Loeb? What secrets do you think Marvel Television is ready to reveal? Let us know, in the comments!Source: New York Comic Con
