Welcome to the MCU Weekly Pulse, a rundown of all the stories throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe that we didn’t cover in News or Features this past week.

Captain America: Civil War Breaks Outs

Civil War Banner

Civil War is upon us and, unless you’ve been sitting in a Siberian bunker, you won’t have missed at least some of the great buzz the movie has been generating. The star cast has been out in force to give Cap’s third outing a final promotional push.

Leading man Chris Evans appeared with Elizabeth Olsen on Ellen with some fun banter. They also gave Evans, who has an apparent tendency to jump out and surprise his colleagues for laughs, a taste of his own medicine. You can see Iron Man exacting some revenge around the 2:40 mark.

In another interview with Seth Meyers, Olsen went on to discuss the Scarlet Witch outfit and how her expectations were being managed when she was first been being positioned for the role in Avengers: Age of Ultron by Joss Whedon.

“About the same meeting Joss Whedon even mentioned who we were meeting about, he said, ‘There’s this character Scarlet Witch that I’m interested in for you to play,’ and then he said, ‘When you go home and Google her, just know you will never ever have to wear what she wears in the comics,’” Olsen recalled, as Meyers showed the comic version wearing a bathing suit and a cape. “Because I did ballet growing up, but that’s not a confident look.”

In the UK, Paul Rudd appeared alongside Martin Freeman and recounted the moment he totally geeked out on set. You can watch the clip below.

‘Alas poor Iron Man, I knew him Horatio’. Sebastian Stan posted this cool photo of himself in full Winter Soldier get-up on his instagram page.

“Gwenyth Paltrow is coming back.” Those are the words of Robert Downey Jnr regarding the future of Pepper Potts in the MCU during an interview with radio jock Howard Stern. You can listen to the full interview below.

A few of the main Civil War players recorded this battle hymn for Mashable. Look for The Winter Soldier behaving ever so shifty in the tweet below.

Meanwhile, Stan, Olsen, Jeremy Renner and Paul Bettany joined Jimmy Fallon for a few nail-biting rounds of ‘Musical Beers’. You can find out the winner in the video below.
