Avengers: Infinity War

As we saw earlier this week, there’s much speculation online that filming for Marvel’s mega-blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War has started already, although the film wasn’t originally slated to begin filming in January.

And it could be just pure coincidence, but Marvel co-president Louis D’Esposito took to Twitter this week to post a picture posing with the pair of writers behind Infinity War, Stephen McFeely and Chris Markus.

Captain America: Civil War

Television and film awards season are nearly upon us and the crew with the People’s Choice Awards have released their list of nominations, and Captain America: Civil War is the most-nominated movie, having nabbed seven nominations, including a nomination for ‘Favorite Movie’.

Daredevil

Daredevil star Charlie Cox, who plays the series’ titular character, took a break from filming The Defenders to partner with Lootcrate and deliver Daredevil stocking caps to children at Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, New York.

Doctor Strange

It’s no secret that one of the biggest takeaways from Doctor Strange was the stunning visual effects, and much of the marketing surrounding the film before it’s premier certainly lived up to hype: take this building in Hong Kong for example, or these black light posters AMC gave to fans on opening weekend. The movie’s director, Scott Derrickson, posted a picture of another black light movie poster of which only 100 were produced.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2

As we reported earlier this week, some of the cast and crew of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 were heading back to reshoot certain scenes for the movie debuting in May of next year. Actress Karen Gillan took to her Instagram page this week to post this picture of herself with colleague Pom Klementieff with some decked-out Guardians shoes, courtesy of fellow actor Michael Rooker.

Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones, which premiered exactly a year ago today, has been confirmed for a second season for quite a while now and as such, the show’s social media accounts are still very active. Actress Krysten Ritter may be busy filming The Defenders now, but the actress took to Instagram to post a few behind the scenes pictures this week of her stunt doubles and stand-ins.

Flash back to a flash back season one! behind the scenes- stunt doubles and stand ins oh my @marvelsjessicajones ????

Luke Cage

With music such a big part of the production of Luke Cage, it’s not surprising the cast and crew of the show are serious about their musical tastes. In an interview with Hip-Hop Wired, actors Mahersala Ali and Theo Rossi break down their top five hip hop artists.

And in a bit of sad news this week, actress Simone Missick took to Instagram to pay her respects after learning of the passing of soul singer Sharon Jones. Jones, who lost her battle with pancreatic cancer this week at the age of 60, was featured in the closing scene of the Luke Cage season one finale as her and her band “The Dap-Kings” performed 100 Days, 100 Nights.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

In exciting news for fans of Spider-Man, it was announced that the first footage from Spider-Man: Homecoming will debut before December’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. This week, actress Zendaya posted an image of the young cast of the web-slinger’s first solo MCU flick together.

Stan Lee

Stan Lee, the creator of many of the comic book characters we’ve come to know and love, revealed this week who would win in a battle between The Hulk and Thor, and the answer might be a little surprising. When asked about who would win, Stan summed it up with a pretty quick statement:

I would have to say Thor, because as strong as Hulk is, he’s still a mortal. Thor is one of the Norse gods!
