We’re three weeks out from the release of Ant-Man now, which means all eyes are on Marvel’s next blockbuster, but there is still plenty of news to be told regarding other Marvel Cinematic Universe properties.

Kyle MacLachlan Open To Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Return

During the second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which came to a close in May, fans and Skye/Daisy (Chloe Bennet) got a chance to meet her father Cal, played by Kyle MacLachlan. Cal became an instant favorite among fans with his love for his daughter driving every decision he makes. Even though the end of the season gave Cal a great ending, he is willing to return if Marvel is willing to have him.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was a lot of fun, unexpectedly so. I had no idea what to expect, going in. They’ve left it open. We haven’t really spoken about it, so I don’t know what to expect. I think they left the door ajar for him. He’s still around. He’s in a happier place now, but who’s to say if that’s going to remain that way. I don’t know. It would be fun. I would enjoy it.

The Collector May Not Be In Guardians Of The Galaxy 2

Even though Guardians of the Galaxy 2 does not start production until next year, fans are eager to find out who will and will not be in the movie. Benicio Del Toro, who played Taneleer Tivan/The Collector in the first film, is unsure if he will return for the sequel.

I would like to keep working on that character, though. It was kind of like a cameo. I would like to keep developing the character based on what’s written in the comic books. I’d like to see some different sides. I had a blast working with James Gunn and the cast – but it’s not up to me.

We will likely have to wait until the official cast is revealed next year to see if he has a role. Guardians of the Galaxy 2, which will start production in February, hits theaters May 5, 2017.

Leslie Bibb May Be Filming On Marvel Project

Leslie Bibb has had a relatively small role in the MCU so far despite two appearances in the Iron Man franchise. However, based off an Instagram post earlier this week, it looks like she has recently returned to play reporter Christine Everheart.

The only two projects that Marvel is currently in production on are Captain America: Civil War and Jessica Jones – which may have wrapped as of yesterday — so it could be a role in either project, although I’d assume it’s for Civil War.

Marvel Shows Off Civil War And Doctor Strange At CineEurope

Marvel is not holding a press conference at San Diego Comic Con in two weeks, which has left some wondering when we could get our first official look into Phase 3. It appears they are getting close to revealing more of the future as they showed a short clip from Captain America: Civil War as well as concept art of Benedict Cumberbatch as the Supreme Sorcerer. Here is a brief description of what was presented:

Extensive details were provided for Captain America: Civil War, currently shooting in Atlanta, with co-director Joe Russo stating that the story revolved around “collateral damage” after action by the Avengers results in the loss of life.

The video also highlighted the on-screen friction between Captain America and Iron-Man.

“The name Civil War implies there are sides,” said Robert Downey Jr.

With production on Doctor Strange commencing soon, no footage was available of the upcoming new superhero IP, but artist impressions of Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role were offered. In a video message, producer Kevin Feige said that the actor was perfect for the role, offering a “complicated emotional structure.”

Charlie Cox Training For Daredevil Season 2

Marvel’s first Netflix original series Daredevil was a huge hit and was quickly renewed for a second season. While his casting was initially met with skepticism, with fans fearing he wasn’t right for the role, Charlie Cox went on to prove he was the right choice for Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

In recent interviews, Cox talked about some of the many things he had to do prior to filming the show, the two main ones being learning how to play blind and getting in shape for the role. With season two rumored to begin production next month, it looks as though Cox is back to training in the gym.

Bernthal Will Give His All To Punisher Role

Earlier this month, Jon Bernthal joined the cast of Daredevil as Frank Castle aka the Punisher. (The above fan-art was created by BossLogic.) Bernthal has been quiet since joining, but he recently had a chance to chat with CBS News about the project and how he plans on giving the role his all.

I’m extremely honored and grateful, and I know the character has a ton of fans out there. I give every single one of them my word that I’m going to give it my all

The first season of Daredevil is currently available to stream on Netflix, while season two, which should start filming next month, is expected to hit Netflix in April.
