Welcome to the MCU Weekly Pulse, a rundown of all the stories throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe that we didn’t cover in News or Features this past week.
Lash Is Still A Problem For S.H.I.E.L.D.
In their weekly Spoiler Room post, EW was asked about the status of Coulson and May’s relationship and whether or not it was fully repaired. Although things may seem all good now, Clark Gregg makes it sound like Lash could cause a divide between the two down the line.
Andrew/Lash is still out there and by all reports is more Lash and less Andrew all the time. The way that they handle that is an impediment to them being fully harmonic.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays on ABC.

Jessica Jones Promo Images, Plus Rosenberg Heading To WonderCon
Even though the show debuted over 4 months ago, the Jessica Jones social media team is still pushing out new promo images for the series. Two of them are focused on Luke, while another is a book with quite the interesting title.

Russos Share Video From Editing Room
The latest Captain America: Civil War trailer may be our last full-length trailer, and if so, I think mostly everybody would be okay with it. As Marvel comes close to completing the final edit of the film, the Russo brothers decided to share a behind the scenes look at them in the editing room. The video below does feature some slightly new footage and even name drops Hulk and Thor.

And while most of us were at the mid-point in our Daredevil season two binge yesterday, the Russo brothers went live with one of the cast members that just finished watching the film for the first time. It’s a pretty fun video that’s worth checking out if you haven’t already.

Bendis Praises Jessica Jones
While we wait to learn when season two of Jessica Jones will actually air, the character’s creator recently spoke to the folks at IGN about the series, and how happy he was that both Netflix and Marvel were true to the character and delivered a quality product.
In regards to the first season, Bendis had nothing but praise.
I can’t even express to you in words the joy and relief I felt. Jessica is a very important part of my being and a bad Jessica Jones show would have been a nightmare. And I think because of the nature of the material it’s not hard to imagine a bad Jessica television show. I will always be grateful to Marvel for keeping her story so honest and not backing down from what made her unique in the first place.
As to the future and where they can take the series as they develop the second season? Bendis feels there’s still plenty of material from them to pull from.
Well the first season was very faithful in a lot of places to the original work and there are still stories from the original run they could have some fun with. Plus Jessica is still part of the Marvel universe and her stories are still being told so…
While we await news regarding season two, you can re-watch the excellent first season now on Netflix!

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2. Sketches And A Flying Nebula
One thing James Gunn has made sure to do both when filming Guardians of the Galaxy, and now Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, is share as much as possible with fans online. Of course, there’s only so much that he can actually reveal while the film undergoes production, but what he does reveal? Usually ends up being a nice treat, such as his original thumbnail sketch of a scene featuring Groot.

And Gunn isn’t the only one sharing bits from the set. Nebula herself, Karen Gillan, shared a photo of her in a stunt wire contraption.

New Crew Members For Most Wanted And Ragnarok
While many fans are focused on Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, which went into production last month, it’s easy to forget that Marvel is at work on other projects – both on the television and film side. As we know, Thor: Ragnarok is set to begin production this summer, and Marvel’s Most Wanted – the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off – is set to film the pilot this month. This, of course, means that both production have to start building up not only their respective casts, but also the behind the scenes crew. And according to Variety, both Most Wanted and Ragnarok have added some interesting crew members to their production.

Finn Jones Reacts To Playing Iron Fist
After That Hashtag Show revealed that Finn Jones had been cast as Danny Rand, a report which was quickly followed up by various trades, Marvel finally confirmed the actor’s casting on Thursday, allowing Jones to finally talk about landing the gig (publicly, at least). Jones took to Instagram to thank his fans and share his excitement for the project which is set to kick off filming next month.

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Cast Choose Civil War Sides
With Captain America: Civil War right around the corner, the folks over at Variety decided to see what teams the S.H.I.E.L.D. gang would side with.
Gregg has to wait and see but doesn’t expect Coulson to go against the shield. (After all, he does have a long standing love of Captain America.) As for Fitz-Simmons? They are – perhaps unsurprisingly – Team Iron Man, whereas Daisy, May, and Lincoln are definitely Team Cap. And Mack, of course, is Iron Man.
