Welcome to the MCU Weekly Pulse, a rundown of all the stories throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe that we didn’t cover in News or Features this past week.
The Defenders Continues Moving Along
There was a sign of The Defenders getting into action, this week, when Mac Barot, a cinematographer/film editor, stated he’ be working on The Defenders. Unfortunately, his Instagram post has since been removed, but there are plenty of other stories about the Netflix characters that will make up The Defenders, this week.
Jessica Jones Hopes To Zip Up Emmy Nomination
Jessica Jones has done very well on the awards circuit, so far. And with the Emmy’s set to announce nominees in a matter of weeks, the official Twitter account for the Netflix series released the following video as part of their “for your consideration” campaign.

We wish Jessica Jones – and all of the MCU shows – the best of luck in the Emmy nominations!
Krysten Ritter isn’t resting after the success of Jessica Jones season one, though. She’s getting ready for the next time we’ll see the super-strong private investigator, which (unless she makes an unannounced appearance in Luke Cage or Iron Fist) will be in The Defenders.

Charlie Cox Beats His Trainer At Endurance
Of course, with The Defenders gearing up for action, Ritter isn’t the only cast member hitting the gym. Daredevil himself, Charlie Cox, outlasted his trainer this week, while the two of them were watching the European Football Championships.
In a recent episode of The Defenders Podcast, Amy Rutberg, who plays Marci Stahl, said that she had talked with Cox on his way to the gym recently. Is it too much to hope that The Defenders stars are getting into shape this early because they might pop up in Iron Fist, which is currently filming?

Iron Fist Happiness Behind The Scenes
Warning: The last entry under this heading contains a Game of Thrones spoiler.
The folks making Iron Fist seem to enjoy their time together. This is especially true for Jessica Henwick and Finn Jones, who share Lawrence Wreford as an agent. While he was visitng his clients this week, he shared a few photos from around Brooklyn, where the show is currently filming.
Finn Jones’ role on Game of Thrones officially came to an end this week. Jones tweeted to his fans that one ending leads to another beginning, as his career moves onward.
..and out of the wildfire ashes the immortal iron fist will be born!! ????

While Game of Thrones fans are sorry to see Loras leaving the show, we are excited to have Jones in the MCU!

New Captain America: Civil War Concept Art
While we have already seen the final product for Captain America: Civil War, it’s interesting to see how the creative minds behind the scenes got to the final product that was on the screen. Andy Park, Marvel Studios Visual Development Supervisor, shared some of the film’s concept art this week, showing us the development process behind the Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and The Black Widow.

Spider-Man Shenanigans
The younger side of the MCU appears to be having fun over on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming, where Zendaya posted a video to Snapchat of costar Tony Revolori playing on the stairs. The video isn’t available, but this still-image was posted to Reddit.
Tiffany Espensen officially joined the cast this week, and was welcomed with baked goods. Perhaps she’ll find them more appetizing than co-star Laura Harrier did.
And finally, this morning Laura Harrier shared a group photo of the cast at what appears to be the Georgia Aquarium.
