Even though Captain America: Civil War is right around the corner, as it normally goes in the MCU there is just as much focus on the future movies as the next upcoming film. One of those films that starts production in June is the Marvel/Sony collaboration and reboot of Spider-Man, that was recently officially titled Spider-Man: Homecoming. Tom Holland has recently been getting some supporting cast around him with Laurra Harrier and Tony Revolori rumored to join, and just recently word came out that Robert Downey Jr. has joined the cast.

Well it appears that Holland will be without one of the other rumored actors. Last week it was reported that Michael Keaton was in talks to play a villain in the film, but it now appears that this will not happen. Deadline has reported that Keaton “has fallen out of early talks and won’t be a part of the project.” With this coming just after rumors of Vulture being a villain in the movie, many people thought he could be playing yet another winged character.

It is disappointing that Keaton will not be in the movie as he is one of the best actors in the world, however, we will have to wait and see who else Marvel and Sony choose as the replacement. With Keaton not joining the MCU, let us know what actors/actresses you want to see join the universe and specifically Homecoming in the comments below!

Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled to hit theaters July 7, 2017.
