Alongside Oscar-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal potentially joining the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel as Mysterio, it is being reported by Variety that Micheal Keaton will be returning as The Vulture who was put in prison by Spider-Man. Considering the post-credit scene from Spider-Man: Homecoming with Michael Mando’s Mac Gargan (The Scorpion) telling  Adrian Toomes that “I’ve got some boys on the outside that would love to meet him”, does this mean that we’ll be seeing the formation of The Sinister Six in this sequel?

Also, during that post-credit scene when pressed by Gargan about the identity of Spider-Man, Toomes lies and keeps Peter’s secret seemingly owing Peter back for saving his life. It makes the return of Micheal Keaton as The Vulture all the more exciting and his prospects of joining this new Sinister Six even more so, since his dynamic with Spider-Man will be very different.

It’ll be great to see one of this franchise’s best and most widely praised villains return.
