In 2015, Ant-Man made a splash introducing Marvel’s smallest hero. But while Ant-Man was small in size, his film served as an ensemble piece for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Among many of the new faces that the movie introduced, there was one standout: Luis, Scott Lang’s detail-rich sidekick, via **Michael Peña **.

Since the release of Ant-Man and the announcement of its sequel, Ant-Man and The Wasp, Peña had yet to be confirmed for the sequel. However, thanks to Borys Kit from The Hollywood Reporter, we not have confirmation that the actor will, in fact, return for the sequel. The film is set to enter production sometime next year. Given it’s set for a July 2018 release date, I’d expect to begin hearing more cast returns by January/February, when pre-production should officially kick off for director Peyton Reed and his crew.

Ant-Man and The Wasp will be released July 6th, 2018, and will also feature returning cast members Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/Ant-Man), Evangeline Lilly (Hope van Dyne/The Wasp), and Michael Douglas (Hank Pym).
