Marvel’s Ant-Man And The Wasp is still a long ways away, but fans are starting to wonder if their favorite characters from the first film will be returning. One of those favorites is Michael Pena, who stole the show in the first film with his portrayal of Luis.
As it stands, Pena doesn’t even know if he’s officially returning for the second film, but doesn’t see any reason why he wouldn’t. In a recent interview, he talked about how he would like to return for the second movie and seemed fairly confident that his character would return – even if he hasn’t yet officially heard anything. When asked if Luis was returning, Pena replied:
I am. I am. Just because they announced it, that they’re doing a sequel. As far as I’m concerned I think I’m back! Unless you know something that I don’t know…
We hope that Pena does return for the second Ant-Man movie, to join Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, who are already confirmed to return. Development is in the very early stages, as Ant-Man And the Wasp isn’t planned to premiere until July 6, 2018. For now, we’ll settle for seeing Scott Lang work alongside the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War.
