One more cast member has been announced for Doctor Strange, adding another name to the already impressive cast they’ve managed to assemble thus far. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Stuhlbarg, perhaps most famous for Boardwalk Empire, has in negotiations for the film. While they were unable to determine what role he would be playing, Justin Kroll of Variety reported soon after that Stuhlbarg was in talks for the role of Nicodemus West.

Perhaps most interesting about The Hollywood Reporter’s article, however, is that they almost seem to confirm Mads Mikkelsen. Back in September, Mikkelsen insisted that while he’d love to be a part of the Marvel family, he hadn’t heard anything about being a part of Doctor Strange. Now, with The Hollywood Reporter listing him as part of the cast, it definitely appears as though Mads is past negotiations and is in fact a part of the stacked cast.
Already on the roll call are Rachel McAdams as the female lead, Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One, as well as Chiwetel Ejiofor and Mads Mikkelsen.
