With Luke Cage having just premiered on Netflix over a month ago and Iron Fist slated to hit the streaming service in March 2017, there has been no shortage of speculation surrounding a Heroes for Hire series, teaming the two heroes together.

With the help of attorney Jeryn Hogarth, as played by Carrie-Ann Moss in the MCU, Luke Cage and Iron Fist join together to form the Heroes for Hire, a superhero group that contracts their services out for a fee. They have been on and off partners for their entire existence in the Marvel Comicsverse and are currently partners in David F. Walker’s current ongoing series Power Man and Iron Fist.

Over the weekend, actor Mike Colter, who plays Cage, appeared on a panel at Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con to talk The Defenders, which has just begun filming.

“Finn Jones — I was just hanging out with him yesterday, so I’m going back to New York to start filming [The Defenders].” When asked about whether Luke Cage and Iron Fist will be going into business together, Colter said, “We’re going to be getting ready to do Heroes for Hire eventually. We’re going to do it.”

While Marvel has a full 2017 slate when it comes to Netflix, anything beyond that is still undecided. Jessica Jones and Daredevil have been confirmed for second and third seasons, respectively. Iron Fist has wrapped filming while The Punisher began filming earlier this Fall. Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders are all slated to hit Netflix in 2017.
