While we are still waiting for the next MCU project to finally be revealed, work is underway behind the scenes. The future is still a bit uncertain but that doesn’t seem to be stopping Marvel Studios. In an interview with IndieWire, theoretical physicist Clifford Johnson revealed that he is adding his expertise to Ms. Marvel. The physicist has worked on a multitude of Marvel projects such as Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, as well as Endgame. He especially helped them get the time travel elements down. Looks like Professor Hulk was echoing some real-world physics in his speech.

Does this mean that Ms. Marvel will travel through time? Probably not but rather it will have to do with her abilities. She has the ability to grow and change her body as she desires. Not only that but when she manipulates her body mass she is borrowing it from her own body at a different point of time. Johnson most likely will help them figure out how to best showcase her abilities, especially how the bad guys will fly away after being punched by a giant fist. They might also explore the origin of her abilities in the series.

They will try to explain how the molecular mass is taken from her body in the future or past. This also opens up the question if we will see the consequences of this ability. She has no control over when she is stealing her own body mass. Will we see her suddenly collapse at school? It could add some interesting tension with her doubting if she will want to even use her abilities at such a cost.

What do you think? Are you excited about the upcoming Disney+ project?
