So many amazing Disney+ shows are heading our way. Even if the world is currently on hold, nothing is keeping Marvel Studios from preparing some of their upcoming projects. We are still waiting for the release date for the first two shows, Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision. It looks like they are also well underway casting their main characters for the upcoming Ms. Marvel show. As Illuminerdi reports, Marvel Studios is currently casting two characters that will appear for four to six episodes.

The casting lists Omar, a Pakistani American older brother character, and Willow, a teenager of Turkish, Moroccan, or Arab descent. Going by Kamala’s cast of supporting cast, it is likely her older brother Aamir and her best friend Nakia Bahadir. As a teenage hero, her friends and family will play an important role as she gets used to her powers. Sadly, still no sign of any major Inhuman castings that could highlight how her powers will play into the bigger mythology. Curious if we will see anything in the near future.

The other major reveal is that the production date is currently eyeing November 2020 until March 2021. As far as we know, the release was planned for 2022 so this would give them plenty of time for post-production. The original plan was an April 2020 production start so it is a given that a lot of things have been postponed. Cannot wait to see what they have in store for us with these shows. Especially with the castings highlighting that they will explore the cultural aspects of the character, these shows offer us a unique view of the MCU.

Are you excited for Ms. Marvel? What do you hope to see in the show?
