It seems like casting for Ms. Marvel is going full steam ahead with not only Kamala and The Inventor being sought, but her family now too. In the comics, they’re actually quite involved with her life, especially in her superhero career later on. While Kamala herself isn’t as conservative as the rest of her family, they still love her and help inspire her to be a hero.
Amir Khan, the older brother of Kamala Khan who they are eyeing to cast a Male in their 20s for the role.
Muneeba Khan, the mother of Kamala Khan who they are eyeing to cast a Female in their 40s-50s for the role.
Yusuf Khan, the father of Kamala Khan who they are eyeing to cast a Male in their 40s-50s for the role.
Just like with Kamala herself, Marvel Studios are looking to cast Pakistani-American actors for all three roles. I’m especially interested to see who will play her brother and mother, who have the most interaction with Kamala in the comics. With this being a series instead of a movie, this really gives us a chance to see extended interactions with her family and see them develop.
The actress for Kamala Khan will likely be revealed by the end of the year with shooting for the series beginning in August of next year.
