ABC and Marvel have unveiled the latest clip for the midseason premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ‘Broken Promises’. This clip features the android AIDA (Mallory Jensen), as Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), and Dr. Holden Radcliffe (John Hannah) arrive at Radcliffe’s residence to perform an upgrade on her. As they prepare to start upgrading her, they are met with surprising resistance from AIDA. As Radcliffe attempts to shut her down, AIDA then responds in a surprising manner.
As seen in the midseason finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., AIDA has secretly replaced Agent May (Ming-Na Wen) with a life-model decoy. While AIDA’s ultimate plan has yet to be revealed, the above clip would indicate that she is forced to put it into motion early due to Radcliffe’s attempted upgrade. The synopsis for the episode would indicate that she leaves shortly after to seek out the dark hold.
The synopsis for 4X09 was released last week and teases Agent Melinda May’s (Ming-Na Wen) secret.
