Last week, we reported a rumor that Sylvester Stallone was seen in Atlanta, presumably to join the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2. While this news has yet to be confirmed by any official sources, there is further information on his possible involvement with the upcoming sequel, including details about a costume.
On Location Vacations is reporting that the Sylvester Stallone sighting last week was indeed while he was in town to film the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy. And according to their source, his costume looked a lot like Judge Dredd’s, something that is sure to cause plenty of speculation among fans.
Now, this week, we’ve confirmed with someone on the set that Sylvester Stallone has indeed been filming scenes for Guardians of the Galaxy 2. The tipster, who wishes to remain anonymous, also told us, “His costume looks a lot like Judge Dredd.”
While Judge Dredd isn’t a Marvel character, there are some characters in the Marvel Universe that do meet that description, such as a Kree accuser or Black Nova. Although, he’s more than likely just a Nova Corp officer.
The site goes on to say that another character would appear in the sequel, one that was a fun surprise at the end of the first film – Howard the Duck – something that has been speculated for some time now.
…our tipster said there was also a scene shot last week that involved Howard the Duck, confirming the speculation that he may appear in GOTG2.
Who do you think Stallone might be portraying in the new movie? Any favorite characters that you hope to show up when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5, 2017? Let us know in the comments!
