We don’t know a whole lot about the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the fourth, still untitled Avengers film. However, Disney has today confirmed we’ll still be getting a lot of new movies, setting 6 release dates aside for Marvel films through 2022…
Just today Marvel moved up the release date of Infinity War by a full week, and after that we’ve got the quickly approaching releases of Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, and finally, the Untitled Avengers sequel. After that, the only movie we know is coming is a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming in July of 2019.
Now, Disney has moved up the release of one of its 2020 Marvel releases to July 31, 2020 (previously August 7, 2020). After that, six slots have been carved out on May 7, 2021, July 30, 2021, Nov. 5, 2021, Feb. 18, 2022, May 6, 2022, and July 29, 2022.
It’s interesting to see Marvel sticking with three films per year after Infinity War, but given the new material they’ll have to work with and potentially some new characters, it should be interesting to watch it all unfold. Hopefully, now that these dates are set in place, we’ll start getting some insight on what they might be…
