WandaVision is currently in production and several set photos have already surfaced which teased an MCU adventure unlike any other for Elizabeth Olsen‘s Wanda Maximoff and the surprise return of Paul Bettany‘s Vision. It is unclear how exactly Vision will return after his demise at the hands of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War but a recent teaser suggest that Wanda’s reality altering powers could be in play. On the side, the Disney+ series will feature several MCU character returns to possibly help sort out the mess such as an adult Monica Rambeau from Captain Marvel, Darcy Lewis from the Thor franchise, and Jimmy Woo from Ant Man and the Wasp. It is unclear how all of these characters will come into play but we recently have our first look at Randall Park‘s Jimmy Woo on set of the Disney+ series that could provide us with clues.
JustJared released several set photos which reveals an interaction between Teyonah Parris‘ Monica Rambeau in full S.W.O.R.D. gear talking to Jimmy Woo in a possible investigation of Scarlet Witch’s mishap after the events of Avengers Endgame. The set photos don’t reveal much but it is interesting to note that whatever Wanda did to mess up reality have caught not just the attention of S.W.O.R.D. but the FBI as well. A possible truce between the two organizations could very well be made in order to help or even stop Wanda from mishandling reality.
It is worth noting that this could be one of the first missions of S.W.O.R.D. given that the Disney+ show serves as the debut of the organization. S.W.O.R.D. could either be seeking tips from the FBI or all of this is a chance encounter which would prompt them to be introduced to the masses. While the two organizations can either become an unlikely ally or a double cross could be in the works, it is worth noting that whatever Wanda is doing has large and drastic implications in the MCU moving forward that even the federal law enforcement agency has taken notice of.
It is also unclear how Darcy will come into play in the series. By connecting the dots and given her experience working with Jane Foster and Erik Selvig from the Thor movies, she could be brought in the fold and help out. After all, she already has experience with the Convergence from Thor: The Dark World which dealt with opening several portals in the nine realms. Whatever the case may be, it would seem that it would take several of Earth’s well acclaimed agencies to sort out what is happening on Wanda’s reality altering shenanigans.
