In today’s “Took You Long Enough to Admit It” news, it was finally confirmed by Vulture that Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders have indeed joined the cast of Spider-Man: Far From Home following weeks of social media speculation. Jackson has been spotted nearby the set of Far From Home while Cobie’s Maria Hill has been unintentionally name dropped by co-star Numan Acar on Instagram.
Spider-Man: Far From Home will see Peter cross paths with the dynamic S.H.I.E.L.D. duo for the first time, as he goes on a sinister field trip abroad to Europe, facing the likes of Mysterio, Vulture, and potentially, Chameleon. The Fury-Spidey relationship cemented by Brian Michael Bendis back in the day in his Ultimate Spider-Man run has been a dynamic that’s been waiting to be adapted in the MCU.
