Disney is going all out with their upcoming streaming service. We already know that they are planning a variety of mini-series that spin out of the Marvel Studios films, making the venture Marvel Studio’s first foray into expanding their franchise beyond their cinematic releases and entering Marvel TV’s territory. So far, they have confirmed that Loki and Scarlet Witch will be the first characters to get their own mini-series on the platform. And according to MCU Cosmic, Nick Fury may be next in line for a show of his own.
There are a ton of supporting characters of the MCU that could viably lead a miniseries of their own, with Fury being one of them. He’s got a rich backstory in the comics and an expanding one onscreen. It makes sense for him to get a show. However, Peter Sciretta of Slashfilm is quick to note that this report from MCU Cosmic is bogus.
Yes, Disney is working on other Marvel Cinematic Universe shows for their streaming service. But No, from what I’ve heard it’s not a Nick Fury series as reported recently on those unreliable marvel fan sites. It’s something bigger and better. Something more.

We might hopefully get some information once productions officially start, as similar to Marvel Studio’s approach to film, they might just be preparing some scripts for potential franchises that may never see the light of day. Still, Samuel L. Jackson has always been quite fond of working with the company so he would certainly be on board if they would decide to make a Nick Fury series.
