While out promoting Avengers: Age of Ultron, which will have its world premiere tonight, Kevin Feige briefly talked about Captain Marvel and how they were close to finding writers for the film. Well, it looks like they may have already done so.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nicole Perlman, who co-wrote Guardians of the Galaxy, and Meg LeFauve, who worked on Inside Out, may be teaming up to write Captain Marvel. What’s interesting, as THR points out, is that Perlman and LeFauve are not writing partners — this would be the first time teaming up together.
Interestingly, Perlman and LeFauve are not a writing team but are being turned into one for this project. Both impressed Marvel’s Mr. Fantastic, Kevin Feige, with their separate takes; Feige and his team thought it best to combine the two for sensational results results.
I’ve gotta say, I’m thrilled to see Nicole Perlman‘s name being mentioned. With her having worked on Guaridans of the Galaxy, and having previously drafted a Black Widow treatment, I can’t wait to see what she brings to the table with Carol. I’m not too familiar with LeFauve’s work, but if Feige was impressed enough with her take, then I’m sold.
As of right now, no director is attached to the film, although that could change by this summer.
