Rumors have been swirling around Marvel Studios adapting Power Pack into a movie for years. Then rumors of it becoming a show for Disney’s new streaming service. The report today is that previously rumored series being developed is actually an animated show aimed at a younger audience. Last year, Kevin Feige expressed interest in Power Pack and how they would aim at a younger audience with that franchise.

“Power Pack is a property that we’ve been interested in for a long time. For many years because we wanted to do something for families, something that’s a little younger, Ant-Man has kind of become that franchise, certainly with Ant-Man and the Wasp, but Power Pack still is one of the many things that we discuss, wouldn’t it be fun to do someday?”

Adapting Power Pack into an animated series would actually make a lot of sense for several reasons. The biggest being that if this property were adapted into live-action the actors would age out of their roles quickly, losing the core appeal of the characters being literal children. Making it an animated series gets around this problem, until they decide to pull the trigger and have them crossover into the movies. Another possibility is that they could also never have them crossover into the movies, but have the movies crossover with them. In order to keep the characters as children for as long as possible.

We’ve already seen that Marvel Studios is willing to bring back current and past talent for their animated What If…? series. Then there is always the possibility of  Kamala Khan making an appearance on their show. Or even Black Panther. Power Pack being an animated series would potentially open a lot of doors for future shows and maybe even animated movies that take place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

How do you feel about Power Pack being an animated series? What other characters would you want to have an animated series?
