Our friends at That Hashtag Show are at it again. A couple of weeks ago, they revealed three character breakdowns for Punisher Season 2 series regulars. These character breakdowns were confirmed this week when Deadline revealed the three actors playing the characters. Yesterday, THS revealed a new batch of breakdowns which could potentially hint at the story for Frank Castle’s sophomore season. According to them, the following characters will be added to the show:

[Sheriff Bonnen] an authoritative male in his early 40s.

[Deputy Willis] a female, 33-37, who is a good cop but looks out for #1 above all else.

[Deputy Creamer] a 25-28 year old male who is described as optimistic and professional.

[Bob] a male in his early 50s who works at the desk at the sheriff office.

THS reckons that the 90’s Punisher storyline Suicide Run may be adapted for the season, based on this week’s cast announcements and the breakdown at hand. Suicide Run is a pretty deep cut storyline even for a massive Garth Ennis fan like me. For those who aren’t aware, in Suicide Run, Frank Castle disappears for a while after successfully taking out NYC’s top crime bosses in one operation. His absence and actions then embolden other NYC vigilantes (or copycats or Daredevil’s Devil Worshippers) to take on the Punisher mantle themselves. Meanwhile, Frank surfaces in small-town Pennsylvania to recover and gets in trouble with local law enforcement. As always, changes are to be expected with any adaptation but based on THS’ in-depth speculation, we think they’re on the money with Suicide Run.
