Since announcing the new cast members for the second season of The Punisher, the production has kicked off its filming cycle. Thanks to a fan post on Facebook, we now have the first images of a bloody Jon Bernthal on the set. Check it out!
Originally believed to be based on Garth Ennis’ iconic storyline “The Slavers”, recent character breakdowns from That Hashtag Show seem to indicate the 90’s era of the Punisher as the season’s inspiration. “Suicide Run”, a story where new vigilantes take up the mantle of New York’s most violent hero as Frank recovers elsewhere is a story that THS thinks could happen for the show. No word yet on who the big bad is for the season but it’s likely we hear about it real soon. Stay tuned.
