Let’s face it, we are absolutely spoiled rotten as Marvel fans. We’ve gotten to see dozens of our favorite characters from the comics come to life on the big screen in the MCU’s Phases 1-3, and dozens more are already confirmed for the next couple of years, with rumors of more on the way. Even when we see characters meet their ultimate demise, we always wait patiently, but ultimately expect them to come back to life with a vengeance. One of the rare heroes we haven’t seen that happen for is Quicksilver, and on top of that, he will not return in the foreseeable future despite multiple possibilities on the big screen and on Disney+, particularly with Wandavision. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who portrays Pietro Maximoff, recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Screen Rant where he discussed the potential of his return to the MCU.

I think we’re both open to possibilities, like the Marvel Universe like it has been over the years, but obviously yes, I’m aware of the Disney+ platform and all of the shows that are going and I’m still in touch with a lot of the people. I mean, I think it’s safe to say that no, I’m not gonna… there will be no appearance of me coming out or Quicksilver appearing anytime soon.

We’ve only seen Quicksilver thus far in the mid-credits scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and alongside Earth’s mightiest heroes in Avengers: Age of Ultron, where he used his super-speed to sacrifice himself, saving Hawkeye in Sokovia during the fight against Ultron. The demand for Taylor-Johnson’s return has been sky high since the second Quicksilver died, and although he won’t be coming back anytime soon, he has always seemed very open to potentially returning to the MCU again.

With the X-Men being rebooted and brought into the MCU over the coming years thanks to the Fox merger, we shouldn’t count any possibilities out for seeing him again, but the wait does still continue to see our favorite speedster fight with his twin sister Wanda and the rest of the Avengers again.
