Over the past few days, we’ve seen a lot of set photos from Captain America: Civil War, which is currently filming in Atlanta, hit the internet. Along with those set photos, we’ve also seen a few rumors make their way online. (One of them was seemingly confirmed over the weekend.)
Given how much information has been making its way out over these past few days, it may seem like we know a lot already regarding the movie. Still, with the film a little under a year out from release, there’s still a lot we don’t know. Such as, how large Black Panther’s role is in the film.
We know that Chadwick Boseman will be making his Marvel Cinematic Debut as Black Panther (T’Challa) in Civil War, but other than that, we’re not entirely sure how big of a role he’ll have in the movie.
We’ve heard a few rumblings here and there that indicated he’d have a rather large role in the film. For example, there was an earlier rumor that Ernie Hudson was circling the role of T’Chaka, although there hasn’t been much development regarding that rumor since. And just last week, Umberto Gonzalez reported that Hawkeye and Black Panther were set to have a big fight in Civil War. But for the most part, there hasn’t been much teased about his involvement, which is what makes today’s rumor even more interesting.
In a new post from Gonzalez, he teases that Black Panther is on the hunt for the Winter Soldier in Civil War.
Now, we don’t know what leads to him searching for Barnes, although current speculation among fans is that Barnes kills T’Chaka, which would be a change from the comics, but this is definitely an interesting new rumor.
What do you think? Why would T’Challa be on the hunt for Barnes?
