With Jessica Jones finally getting ready to wrap production, it’s time to shift our attention to Luke Cage. All we’ve heard so far is that Mike Colter has been cast as the titular character, and that Cheo Hodari Coker will serve as the showrunner. Since then, things have been rather quiet.

That should change over the coming weeks. Audition tapes have started making their way to Vimeo, indicating that casting is already well underway for the series, and thanks to a new rumor from Heroic Hollywood, we may know one of the characters being cast. According to HH, Cornell Cottonmouth will appear in Luke Cage when it hits Netflix next year.

Here’s a rundown of the character provided by HH:

For those unfamiliar, Cottonmouth was a drug lord in New York. The heroin that was used by Willis Stryker, aka Diamondback to frame Luke Cage for drug trafficking was stolen from Cottonmouth’s organization. Cottonmouth had super-strength, and was able to fight Luke Cage in a stand-off.

With Luke Cage rumored to begin production sometime in August, casting news should start coming out from Marvel shortly.
