We’ve known since April that Doctor Strange would start production in November, but it was unknown the exact date it would start. This will be the second film of Phase 3 and possibly boasts the most impressive cast to date (Avengers films aside).

According to a report by The Knowledge Online, we can expect Doctor Strange to officially start production on November 4th. The interesting part of this report is this start date would be exactly one year ahead of it’s release. That would be a very short production for a film that will likely need a lot of CGI to add magic effects.

Unlike the past couple of movies, Strange will film at Pinewood Studios in London. Director Scott Derrickson has been overseas for the past few months scouting locations to shoot and lock down everything in the pre-production process.

If this report is true, we should get an official release by Marvel that day or a few days after that announces the beginning of filming. So far Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Baron Mordo), Tilda Swinton (Ancient One), and Rachel McAdams have been confirmed to appear so the press release shouldn’t include that many surprises. Hopefully they’ll clarify who McAdams is playing and maybe confirm whether or not Mads Mikkelsen has a role.

Doctor Strange is scheduled to hit theaters November 4, 2016.
