One of Jeph Loeb‘s final remaining projects at Marvel Television is – unsurprisingly – coming to an end. Marvel have announced today that Runaways will end with its third season, with Deadline saying the series would have a ‘natural’ ending. And in slightly more positive news, Hulu has dropped a new trailer for the season, which you can check out below.
This comes after the recent string of cancellations at Marvel Television, including Ghost Rider being scrapped before ever entering production, and Cloak and Dagger coming to an end after two seasons. With the Netflix shows also gone, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. coming to a close with its upcoming seventh season, the only project leftover from Jeph Loeb‘s tenure at the studio is the upcoming Helstrom.
There’s always a chance we could see Runaways show up under Kevin Feige on Disney+ down the line, but whether or not it would be these incarnations of the characters is anybody’s guess. Regardless, you can see the team in action one final time – alongside a crossover with Cloak and Dagger – when the final season premieres next month.
