Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is about to swing into a theater near you, and my fellow staff writers and I couldn’t be happier to see him make his first solo outing within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’re just over a month away from the film’s release now, which means we can expect to see certain details such as the official rating and run time surface online. We don’t have the official rating just yet, but everyone knows we can most likely expect a PG-13 rating (no surprise there). As for the run time, we do know that (which is no surprise if you read the title). According to Event Cinemas, a theater chain in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji, Spider-Man: Homecoming clocks in at 2 hours 10 minutes.

This isn’t the MCU’s longest film by any stretch, but it’s a decent length. Just for reference, last year’s Captain America: Civil War is the MCU’s longest entry, weighing in at a whopping 2 hours 28 minutes. For those of you who may be curious how this stacks up to other MCU films, it’s the exact same run time as Iron Man 3. In my opinion, this is a great running time, not too long and not too short. While it may not be as long as some of the other MCU films, such as Captain America: the Winter Soldier (2 hours 16 minutes) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2 hours 18 minutes), it’s ample time to wrap of the plot without feeling too rushed.

What are your thoughts? Is this a decent running time for the film? Sound off in the comments below!
