Among the many exciting confirmations last weekend at SDCC, Kevin Feige unveiled to the thousands of fans in Hall H a teaser for the highly-anticipated Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In that said teaser, Daniel Bruhl suited up as Baron Zemo, iconic purple mask and fur collar included. Footage of it never appeared online but thanks to Bruhl himself, we have a legit look at it.
So it’s not as amazing as I thought it would look. I’m sure the costume is in preliminary stages and they’ll probably have a better fitting one when production actually starts later this year. Unused Baron Zemo designs from Captain America: Civil War shows how they’re guaranteed to nail the translation into live-action. But simply judging from this screencap, Bruhl’s head looks way oversized. That being said, just the simple fact that we’re getting the purple mask is absolute bonkers. Just wow.
