The first sequel announced at this year’s Hall H panel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (this title will be a hoot for SEO specialists) will see the return of Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange. The film will be directed by Scott Derrickson but still no confirmation if Robert C. Cargill will return to write the sequel. Judging by the title, it looks as though the film will focus on some of the horror elements that have been explored in the comics and Derrickson said, “We’re gonna make the first scary MCU film!”
Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness will hit theaters on May 7, 2021
