Looks like the cogs for Shang-Chi are turning faster and faster now with cinematographer Bill Pope joining the production. Known primarily for his previous work on The Matrix, Spider-Man 2, and Baby Driver all of which have fast, kinetic action.

It’s looking more and more likely that Shang-Chi will be releasing on February 12th in 2021, which actually lines up with what we know as Chinese New Year. Any Matrix fan knows how brilliant Pope’s cinematography was paired with one of Western cinema’s best fight choreography. If that film is any indication just how incredible Shang-Chi is going to look, we’re in for a huge treat.
We’re just days away from the film’s official unveiling at SDCC so stay tuned here for the latest!
