Marvel Studios dropped many bombshells on fans tonight with three trails for the upcoming Series. We certainly received a gold mine of news tonight. The last renouncement made by Kevin Feige, Chief Creative Officer of everything MCU, was the newest confirmation of the news fans have been waiting to hear since Disney acquired the rights to 21st Century Fox in 2019. This was the announcement of Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of the Fantastic Four. In July of 2019, Feige confirmed that a Fantastic Four movie would be in development at Marvel.
While 2020 has been the first year since 2009 that a Marvel movie has not premiered. Fans have been rewarded for their patience with the announcement of Marvel’s First Family movie that is currently in development with a director already attached. It was confirmed that Jon Watts, director of Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home, would be helming the Fantastic Four’s reboot. We do not have any indication of who will write the script or who the cast will feature. However, this is huge development. If a director has been chosen, that means that the script will be written sooner rather than later and preproduction could be around the corner. This is an exciting time to be a Marvel fan!
