CCXP finally gave the world the first look at Spider-Man: Far From Home. Our very own Tiago was one of the lucky few and offered some great descriptions of what is to come. There were rumors of a trailer being released online but it seems those plans have been postponed for now. Luckily, the Russian website Walt Disney Studios Sony Pictures Releasing has leaked the synopsis online with a lot of elements that were revealed over the last few days. It confirms that he is on a trip through Europe for the summer and surprisingly lacks any mention of Jake Gyllenhaal‘s Mysterio, who will have a prominent role in the upcoming film.

“Peter Parker and his friends go on summer holidays to Europe. However, the friends will hardly be able to rest – Peter will have to agree to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of creatures that cause natural disasters and destruction throughout the continent.”

It seems the upcoming film will introduce us to a variety of new enemies. There are descriptions of creatures or beings made of fire, sand, and water from the footage shown. It does sound a lot like well-known Spider-Man villains like Molten Man, Hydro-Man and Sandman would make an appearance but there are other characters with these traits as well. There is a group of people called the Elementals, who have the ability to transform into the various elements that would fit with the descriptions from the CCXP synopsis. They may also be combining these characters but it would be strange to turn some of Spidey’s most iconic villains, especially Sandman, into one-off villains. This description also confirms that Peter will be working with Nick Fury to stop these new foes. We know from the footage description that Mysterio will play the role of hero in the film, which would point to his involvement with the Elementals. Maybe we will get our first look soon as there are still rumors about the trailer being released soon.
