Thanks to a set photo snapped by Atlanta Filming, we now know when the third Spider-Man film is going to be set. The photos, seen below, show Brooklyn’s Peter Pan Donut and Pastry Shop, strewn with Christmas decorations, including snowflakes, Christmas trees, a decorated wreath, and the words “Merry Christmas” strewn across a window. So yeah, we’re getting a Christmas Spidey film. In addition to these holiday photos, Just Jared also snagged some set photos of Tom Holland donning the last film’s red and black suit.

Marvel seems to have a plethora of productions set around the Christmas holiday including the planned Hawkeye show, and the recently announced Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, both of which are slated to air on Disney+. Iron Man 3 was also set during the holidays. As production continues, one can only wonder if this means that all of these releases will be connected, particularly Spider-Man and Hawkeye, which are not only set around the same time of the Christmas holiday but also the same location of New York, with production simultaneously commencing for both IPs. Given the current state of the MCU in the era of Avengers: Endgame, anything is possible. Characters have not only met each other but fought together against the intergalactic threat, Thanos. Marvel Studios seems to want to emulate the comics without copying them verbatim. Team-ups are common to see on the pages, so why not make it common on screen?
