After hearing reports about the film’s setting in the past few months, we finally have confirmation from our lord and savior Kevin Feige himself: the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming will indeed be set all over the globe, essentially making it a globe-trotting adventure for the webslinger. Kev-dawg also clarified that the film begins filming in July, two months after the initial May reports.
We start filming early July. We film in London. We shot first film in Atlanta. And we shoot a lot of films in London but there’s another reason we’re shooting in London which is, yes, Spidey, of course, will spend some time in New York, but he’ll spend some time in other parts of the globe.
As with everyone involved in this massive battle with the purple Mad Titan, Peter Parker’s life will never be the same again. Feige also hinted at the major ramifications Avengers: Infinity War will have on 16-year old Peter Parker. Who knew that a trip to an alien planet to fight an intergalactic warlord would have an effect on teenage life?
The way Civil War and the fact that he went to Leipzig Airport and then has to go back to school, informed Homecoming, the two Avengers films that precede [the sequel] will greatly inform, probably even more so, the next movie.
