2018 has been a turbulent year for Marvel fans everywhere. Not only was it a massive year with the releases of Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp but also a tragic one. It sadly was the year that the world lost a true visionary. Stan Lee passed away in November and the world got a bit bleaker. His memory would live on throughout everyone’s childhood and his endless array of cameos throughout the years. We know that he will potentially have his last cameo in Avengers: Endgame. It almost seems fitting for his last appearance to be on this monolith of a film. To celebrate Stan Lee‘s legacy, it looks like we are getting a special video celebrating Stan‘s cameos with behind-the-scenes of each MCU cameo, according to Kevin Feige.
“We’ve put a video together that I’m not sure when we’re putting out – in the home video window probably. We’ve never done this before; a behind-the-scenes of every cameo Stan did. All the B-roll that was shot and his standups there. His passing was very emotional for all of us but it suddenly all came back to me just last week when I watched it. It’s tremendous.”
The world certainly will not be the same without him. There is still the chance that we will see him make an appearance in Spider-Man: Far From Home which would be fitting. Still, Endgame is also the end of an era for the MCU so this might even be Stan Lee’s greatest cameo yet. Maybe we will get to see him in his role among the Watchers, see him, pep-talk Tony, as he may face his greatest challenge or just as an onlooker on the legacy he is leaving behind. No matter what Marvel Studios has in store for us, it will certainly be memorable above all else.
What do you think his cameo will be? Do you think we will get one last cameo in Far From Home? If they find a way to integrate him beyond Phase 3, how would you like to see him make small cameos moving forward?
