It just isn’t a Marvel film without Stan Lee. His cameos have become a staple of any Marvel film, especially those of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Over the years, he has certainly proven he has quite a lot of spunk. Participating at a lot of conventions, mingling with fans and still an important part of Marvel to this day. Retirement never seemed to suit him and he revealed that he has been quite busy. During a panel at Wizard World Nashville, he revealed that he had filmed quite a few cameos for Marvel Studios. His personal manager revealed that he has already five cameos in the bag.
“What we can say about Avengers: Infinity War is that he filmed both parts, one and two. We did Ant-Man, we did Black Panther. We did Thor too.”
It makes sense that he has already filmed these cameos. Ant-Man and the Wasp has already started filming alongside the sequel to Infinity War. Black Panther and Infinity War is already in post-production. The only film that comes out in 2019 that he has yet to film is Captain Marvel. It is a given, as the film has yet to start production and he will most likely film his cameo early on once directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck have the cameras rolling. As Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has revealed that his cameos are connected, we might hopefully get a bit more insight into his role across the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It would also just be fun to see a Skrull version of Lee appear during the events of Captain Marvel.
What was your favorite Stan Lee cameo? How do you think he will appear in future films?
