Tonight’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., titled “Many Heads, One Tale”, promises to reveal the truth behind the A.T.C.U., bring forth a major change to the Fitz-Simmons relationship, and throw a big twist to Ward’s plans to go after S.H.I.E.L.D., all of which are valid reasons to be excited for tonight’s episode. Especially since we know it’s leading up to a massive cliff-hanger during the mid-season finale, which is rumored to be titled “Maveth”, a word that translates to something we’ve already been introduced to earlier this season – death. While we’re not sure what the writers have in store for the mid-season finale, we do know that Brett Dalton has teased a big WTF-moment. But it looks as though “Maveth” won’t be the only episode with surprises in store. ABC has just unveiled the synopsis for episode nine, titled “Closure”, and it looks as though there’s going to be a showdown between Ward and S.H.I.E.L.D. that seems to hint at explosive consequences.
