At the end of last week’s episode of Agent Carter, titled “Smoke and Mirrors”, we saw Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett) fully test out her powers, leading to the demise of Rufus (Chris Browning). Now going into tomorrow night’s episode, titled “The Atomic Job”, it appears as though Whitney is only beginning to test out her powers, and there are still plenty of people bound to suffer the same fate as Rufus – especially when it comes to people close to those after her.
TV Guide was able to reveal a couple of teases for tomorrow night’s episode, and they’re both tied to Whitney Frost – especially when it comes to the fate of Jason Wilkes (Reggie Austin). In last week’s episode, there were a couple of occasions where we saw Wilkes reacting oddly shortly after seeing Whitney use her powers; it almost seemed as though the two were tied together by the zero matter, and as she used her powers, it appeared to weaken him.
According to the folks at TV Guide, we’ll see the zero matter come back into focus this week as Peggy (Hayley Atwell) and Wilkes find a way to temporarily make him solid again, courtesy of Jane Scott – the scientist found in the ice cube from the first episode. That is, if Whitney doesn’t put a stop to their plans.
Finding himself drawn to the zero matter in the sample of Jane Scott’s body, Jason accidentally absorbs the substance, making him temporarily solid again. Peggy immediately sets out to retrieve Jane’s body, to help permanently restore Jason’s mass, only to find herself beaten to the punch by Whitney Frost (Wynn Everett).
And it appears that Peggy and Wilkes won’t be the only people Whitney has set her sights on, as they promise we’ll see the starlet go after Chief Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj). For those of you hoping for a reunion between Peggy and Sousa, it appears we’ll soon see one, although it’ll be at a price. Safe to say we won’t be seeing much of Sousa’s nurse girlfriend after tomorrow?
Agent Carter airs Tuesdays on ABC at 9 PM EST.
