DiscussingFilm is reporting that The Eternals, directed by Chloe Zhao (Nomadland, The Rider), will begin filming in August – a whole month earlier than previously suggested. Additionally, they’re saying that it will film at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Very unsurprising, considering that is where Marvel Studios has shot most of their productions, such as Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Captain Marvel.
We haven’t heard any casting and won’t for awhile, since Chloe Zhao has started production on her new film Nomandland. We do have a list of the likely characters to star and appear in the movie, along with the earlier hiring of the screenwriting duo of Matthew and Ryan Firpo.
The Eternals is expected to open November 6th, 2020, but this hasn’t been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios.
