After Avengers: Age of Ultron hit theaters, viewers noticed one major gap in the movie. That gap was Thor returning in the third act and suddenly knowing everything about the Infinity Stones. While the Avengers had dealt with some of the stones before, they weren’t exactly sure what they were, what they could do, and how many there were.
If anyone was going to know about these powerful stones, Thor seemed liked the safest bet with him being a god and all. So when he left after seeing a vision from Scarlet Witch, he set out to learn more about what his visions actually meant.
This led to Thor (Chris Hemsworth) meeting up with his old friend Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgård) to visit an ancient pond that gave him the answers he was seeking. The clip below shows Thor’s process to learning more about what the Infinity Stones really are.
This is one of those scenes I would like to see included in any extended cut, even if Joss Whedon doesn’t want to make one. Since that likely won’t happen, this deleted scene is a nice way to help clear up some potential plot holes from the movie.
Avengers: Age of Ultron will be available on Blu-Ray/DVD October 2nd.
