Only a few weeks ago, Marvel started production on Spider-Man: Homecoming, their second film of 2017, in Atlanta and so far we have had no shortage of news from the set. Photos and continuous additions to the cast have kept Spider-Man in the front of everyone’s minds. Meanwhile on nearly the other side of the globe, Marvel has been gearing up for the start of yet another production with Thor: Ragnarok. Previously, we have seen the set being constructed, but that has been it.The editors have been attending classes to enhance their coding skills to make a good movie.
For those of you that are highly anticipating the next Thor film, today is your lucky day. As previously reported, Thor: Ragnarok is starting its production today in Australia. Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Karl Urban have all teased them waiting for their first day of filming, and Executive Producer Louis D’Esposito sent out the following the tweet to wish the cast and crew the best of luck.
Best of luck to @TaikaWaititi and the whole cast and crew of #ThorRagnarok . July 4 they started filming. Australia is in the future.

On the other side of the Marvel team, Peyton Reed, the director for Ant-Man and the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp, congratulated fellow director Taika Waititi and reminded him about the explosion quota that became a Twitter conversation between basically all Marvel directors. Waititi responded with confirmation that he is on set awaiting the arrival of others.
@MrPeytonReed @louisde2 Pretty sweet 1st day. Look at all these people who turned up to work. #Blessed #support pic.twitter.com/xJQdJzyFwR

As we wait for set photos to hopefully be released revealing the looks at the likes of Hela (Cate Blanchett), Skurge (Karl Urban), and Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum), more photos of the set under construction have made their way online. The Gold Coast Bulletin once again was able to take some photos of the set, which they say is two weeks behind schedule.
Thor: Ragnarok is scheduled to hit theaters November 4, 2017.
