Vincent D’Onofrio brought Wilson Fisk to life in the first season of Netflix’s Daredevil. He then reprised the role for the second season. While many were confirmed for the upcoming show The Defenders, D’Onofrio made it clear Kingpin would not be joining. Covered by MCUExchange, the actor explained how The Defenders was already jammed packed and there was no chance his character would make an appearance.

So, Fisk won’t be coming back in The Defenders, but maybe he’ll appear in one of the movies? Considering Marvel’s problem with quality villains, Wilson Fisk was a breath of fresh air that could be just as well-known as Loki and Thanos. Fisk originated as a Spiderman villain, so maybe an appearance in Spiderman: Homecoming?

No chance.

Not that Vincent D’Onofrio isn’t open to the idea.

I would love to switch over to the movies, but I think it’s pretty much been said it’s not going to happen. Or at least not for a very, very long time. I think [Marvel Studios boss] Kevin Feige explained that, and that’s what makes the most sense, he said the film universe is too jam-packed.

As much as fans (including myself) would love to see TV and movie characters together, D’Onofrio is right. Avengers: Infinity War is so jammed packed with the film stars that throwing the TV ones in would make everything too cluttered.

As far as revealing if Fisk will come back for Daredevil Season 3, D’Onofrio made it apparent he wasn’t willing to spill any secrets.
