Thanks to a Captain America panel this weekend at Wizard World, we have not had a shortage of new information regarding Captain America: Civil War. They have already talked about the opening of the movie, their version of Spider-Man, and how it could end.
Now, they are talking about Wakanda, the home of newcomer Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). A fan asked the directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, whether or not we would see the homeland in Civil War, to which they responded,
Anthony: Whether or not Wakanda is involved in it remains on the table.
Joe: If you’re going to see Wakanda, we go, “Listen, we can’t tell you whether or not you’re going to see Wakanda.” You’re probably going to see Wakanda.
This will be our first look at the technologically advanced city. There was concept art for their vibranium mines that went unused in Avengers: Age of Ultron. With this being the first appearance of Black Panther in the MCU, it is not a surprise that we will learn more about where he came from.
Captain America: Civil War is scheduled to hit theaters May 6, 2016.
