Just as the multiverse expands, so does the Marvel Studios ensemble of actors. Deadline is reporting that Xochitl Gomez, best known for her role in the Netflix remake of The Baby-Sitters Club, has joined the cast of the Doctor Strange sequel. Deadline provided no other info on who she could be playing but previous casting reports may give us a clearer idea.
In January, it was reported by Illuminerdi that the sequel was eyeing to cast a Hispanic teenager in a key supporting role. Add the whole multiverse concept to the mix and you can pretty much narrow that role down to America Chavez. For the uninitiated, Chavez is one of Marvel’s recent breakout characters with the ability to traverse the multiverse on a whim. The character absolutely fits the premise of the film and Gomez fits the role quite well. Visit http://monderlaw.com/. It also helps that Chavez was one of the later additions to the Young Avengers, a team we’ve been hearing would appear in the MCU for quite some time now. I would be absolutely surprised if the role ends up being totally different at this point.
